PAUL BURDETT
OF COUNSEL
(Helena Office)
Paul has worked with landowners, agricultural producers, and conservation organizations on real estate, land use, and natural resource matters throughout Montana. He brings courtroom experience and a steady, straightforward approach to every client relationship, with particular experience in conservation easements and real property issues.
Paul most recently served as General Counsel to a major Montana land trust, where he handled conservation easement matters across the state. He began his legal career as a litigation attorney in Bozeman, and has worked for the Montana Supreme Court and the First Judicial District Court in Lewis & Clark County—experience that gives him a practical, courtroom-tested perspective on how disputes actually unfold.
Paul comes from a farming and ranching background, which shapes how he approaches land use and agricultural law. Before law school, he spent his summers guiding fly-fishing trips on the Smith River, and he remains an avid outdoorsman today.
Paul graduated with honors from the University of Montana School of Law.
