TITLE INSURANCE

Our attorneys have years of experience advising parties to complex real estate transactions.  When it comes to title insurance we evaluate preliminary title commitments and the exceptions from coverage to help buyers determine whether they should proceed with a purchase or back out of a transaction based on the title contingency in the purchase and sale agreement.  We also negotiate and litigate resolutions to disputes regarding, for example, whether a claim is covered under the title insurance policy and whether the insurer is required to defend and indemnify the insured and ultimately resolve an access dispute, a dispute regarding the enforceability of an encumbrance, a boundary dispute, and other matters.
